We returned to Moutier railway station, and set off through the town, pausing to admire the modern church
of Notre Dame de la Prévôté, with its splendid stained glass and interior (complete with Camino signposts)
and impressive collection of church bells. From there we went past the Chapelle de Chalière, with its frescoes,
and on to the entrance to the gorges of Perrefitte. This started off as a pleasant walk beside a stream,
but gradually the cliffs closed in, and we found ourselves going up staircases and along wooden walkways above the mountain torrent.
Coming out into a pleasant valley at the end, we came to a lonely bus stop at the turning point of the bus from Moutier,
and returned to have a look around the town, including the Collégiale Saint Germain.
